Behind Moss & Creek
Hi, I’m Juliana — the artist behind Moss & Creek.
I’m a self-taught artist based in Las Vegas, and painting has always been something really personal to me. It’s where I get to slow down, get a little messy, and make something without feeling like every part of it has to be perfect.
I’ve always loved things that feel a little worn, imperfect, and lived in, and I think that naturally found its way into my work. I work with a lot of texture, layers, raw edges, and neutral tones, creating pieces that almost make you want to reach out and touch them.
I usually don’t start a painting knowing exactly what it’s going to look like. A lot of my process is just letting it happen — adding something, taking something away, painting over parts I loved, and sometimes completely changing direction halfway through. I keep working on a piece until it finally feels like itself.
That’s really what Moss & Creek has become for me. It’s a place for me to create slowly, experiment, and make things that feel a little imperfect, a little unexpected, and completely their own.
I hope the pieces you find here become part of your space in the same way they became part of mine while I was making them.
Made slowly. Made by hand. Made to be lived with.
